If you call yourself a fan of horror, to what you already know it's wise not to ignore low-budget films, whatever. Especially a horror film that comes from Tim Ritter! Again, do not put a limit to horror flicks, go 'all out' and see as many as you can when there is free time, of course. I have a long way to go with my learning 'horror story', but it's definitely fun to see who got their start as their talents and has evolved since then, while in the process! You will discoverabout the actors / actresses and makeup artists who have enjoyed to see their hard work on big-budget films that got their start in films like this! Do not be so quick to judge. I bet if you helped with making a film like this, you tell everyone that this was one of the best moments of your life haha! Until that glorious day happens, do not be so difficult to judge the film *** LOL! Sure, everyone has different tastes in horror, but those of you who have put down the flickslike this, I will never understand as a fan of horror, as you could not look past a few flaws in 'Killing Spree' is not (or any other horror movie for that matter), and finds its charm? It's got over-the-top, silly, style Troma Entertainment gore! Special effects done by Joel Harlow, who later worked on 'Basket Case 2' a little 'Toxic Avenger' sequel and 'Jurassic Park'. Cool to know eh!? And 'fun' connect the dots' of some of these people when they learn more about the horror genre!Sure, the story is a simple, run-of-the-mill, 80 slasher film. Get Over It and enjoy for what it is! In addition to enjoying some original, creative kills, (the 'ceiling fan kill' being my favorite!), I loved acting over-the-top 'Asbetos Felt's'! I Sub Rosa Retro edition DVD and I that is really great! has a ton of bonus features that I enjoyed! After watching, I'm going to buy 'Truth or Dare' soon! At the end of ab movie review, I would be guilty of throwing down "forb horror fans only ", but I will not be put down that future revisions do more. Check it out independently and learn some history horror! You can not say just watched this LOL!
Early Indie Horror? Scrambled Please! - Brian Lueth - Chicago, IL United StatesI really enjoyed this little gem hit video-on-the late 80s! Actually I'm not a fan of new stuff Tim Ritter, but I have said many times before in Camp Motion Pictures film and I'll say it again ... is pioneering this schlock! The acting was hit or miss, as typical low-budget, but the sequences were wild Gore & FX and lighting was invented. If you are interested in moving the first direct-to-video horror and as I began, Camp Motion Pictures offers some fantasticOutputs! Today, this sort of thing would be denounced as "The Worst Ever Made" but when you consider this film was shot during childhood, the video market is beginning to understand how these influential film in reality. Killing Spree is cruel and Goofy and worth checking until you are able to ignore the appallingly short-shorts the boy twisted grass and the inclusion of zombies.
This movie is a JOKE! - J. M. - Lakeland, FL USAYes, if you are a student of cinema, you could see this movie for tips. But to see this movie please do not buy it! It 'been a total waste of money for me. The acting was horrible, I laughed throughout the film. I wanted to sleep. People seem to like this film for its "humor gore, but I think the director tried too hard with that. Perhaps the film was suppose to look like crap, and that's what makes it good. This element did not appeal to all for me. The film is horrible 80'shorror movie feel, and killed very early. The tall, thin blonde, the hero, should have been tried for a while 'sadist. I think I liked two of his murder, I must admit. Not bloody and gruesome enough, but it was pretty good. This DVD is the DVD I hide in the back of my collection, its an embarrassment.
This movie is sooo good. Asbestos Felt is GOD! - 66909 - Bradenton, floridaEvery time I try to rent a low budget film to try to see how the 'tricks' are made. I'am a student of film at Florida Atlantic University. I found 'Killing Spree last year' and was blown away! The level ever this movie offers! The plot is fun and unique and the blood is so slapstick and nice to look pleasing to the eye at-large. But what makes this film Asbestos Felt. Its presence in the film is electrifying. He is like a cartoon character that came to life. It is a pity that I did notseen him in anything since. But if my colleagues or my projects off the ground asbestos is the first person that I would try to contact. Now I have taken the first edition of this bootleg DVD that had a half-naked woman with a machetti up and I was disappointed by the quality. This new release official 'release is much better, but could be a bit' better. There is small stains and hairs that appear a bit 'compression that increase the grain in some shots. The extras aregreat! I was very surprised, because this is a rare film. He has a fantastic documentary information that has been is his film in 1996, so it's great to include it. The DVD also has a trailer, deleted scenes, TV spots, cast & crew interviews are included on the DVD towards the end of the documentary.
Also included are the cast commentay sound throughout the film, which is so fun and informative. It includes the director's commentary, but I heard only once, because it isa bit 'boring. If anything you should see this film for asbestos Felt! But if you're in the kind of horror / gore films low budget, or something interesting in the subject of this film is a must see! My fav. movies are not really rooted in horror either.
The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Scarface, and the series of murders are my fav. film. Asbestos Felt is God
