Masters of Horror - Deer Woman Review
May contain spoilers.
John Landis directed this episode of "Masters of Horror" and I must say, though horror is low, is still very funny, especially thanks to great performance by Brian Benben, the buxom beauty of silence "Deer Woman Cinthia Moura, the abundance of humor and Gore is added for good measure. The story is this:
Detective Dwight Faraday (Benben) investigates a series of bizarre and gruesome murders. All the victims appear to be violated by some animal flesh, hoof prints are detected, the carnage as deer hair, but because of the location of the murder scenes, this seems highly unlikely, and all victims are seen in the company of a beautiful Native American woman before her disappearance chaotic. He leads the detectives to try to understand the various possible scenarios, and ridiculous, a Native American told him the story of the legendary Mrs. Hirsch, a powerful mythical creature, half woman, ishalf deer. She seduces men with her beauty and mystical powers, and when you enter a state of agitation, is trampled to death with its hooves of deer. Sounds pretty ridiculous, and it is. One would expect something like a skit from MADtv. Entertaining? Yes Horror? Not really. However, John Landis mixes in some humor moments full of tension, and there are some pretty ugly scenes autopsy, not for the squeamish. But just as a horror film, never fails to attract you or freak you outepic as Landis' American Werewolf in London Special Edition ", but an hour long movie short delivery. Not the best of the series, but as a whole, is always fun, with fascinating characters and fantasy and is certainly one of the most fun in uneven catalog of Moh. Recommended
