Horror Movies Customer Reviews

Horror Movies Customer ReviewsI saw this series when I was ten. I was amazed by the cinematography. Maybe were not as advanced as today's movies, but it was worth a shot. You definitely need patience to watch the film, but if you love the series, you can let your mind roam free. During the turbulent times of my life in Nigeria, gave me an escape route. I loved the theme song and I loved Aslan. It was hard on the girl because he needed to know the gravity of his situation.

Horror Movies Customer ReviewsSad I bought it - BarbaraLWalker - Oceanside CA
After seeing the Disney version of Chronicles and Prince Caspian, I did not realize the Silver Chair was not a Disney film. I was so shocked to see a production that bad of a story. The resolution was so bad, the whole thing was so poorly done. If you've seen the Disney movie, you need only know what I mean. I'm sorry, I bought this, I imagine that he will donate to my local library. Hopefully Disney will be in it, and definitely buy that.

Horror Movies Customer ReviewsThe Silver Chair - Count Orlok '22 - The land of the denigrated reviewers
-This review concerns the original DVD version, not the remastered edition-

In 1990, the last film in the Narnia series the BBC made its debut. The series, which consisted of four films, was based on The Chronicles of Narnia books by CS Lewis and was very faithful to the original material. However, after producing the first three films, the budget seems to have fallen for this, the last installment. And for the first time it hurts the overall quality of the film. L 'Silver Chair is probably the weakest of the series of films especially for links that the filmmakers were forced to take to accommodate the low budget. Actors who appeared in previous episodes are recast into new roles, the special effects are very rushed and unconvincing, and the production design seems trivial. All this is unfortunate because the film was perhaps the greatest potential as an adventure darker, but overall the number of minor disappointments of this film are less satisfactory. Furthermore, theSilver Chair is the must-have concluded the series and, despite its flaws has become a family favorite.

While unpleasant to their college, Eustace and his school friend Jill frantically look for a place to hide from school bullies. After requesting help Aslan, Eustace and Jill are magically transported to Narnia, where Aslan has an important mission for them. You have to find and save the Rilian prince, son of King Caspian and sole heir to the throne of Narnia. In additionAslan Jill also names the task of remembering four cryptic signs that will help them in their mission. They are given help of a talking owl named Glimfeather, which leads them to the Parliament of owls. There, Eustace and Jill are told of how her mother Rilian was killed by a poisonous snake, and then Rilian disappeared during a visit to the place of the death of his mother. The Owls then take the two children to the marshes where a marsh-wiggle Puddleglum serve as their guide onTheir epic quest. Puddleglum curmudgeonly turns out to be a pessimist, but a valuable partner. His knowledge of the history of Narnia, geography and culture and its abundance of survival skills prove to be an underestimated resource for Eustace and Jill. In their travels they have many adventures, as an encounter with a dragon, a savage attack by giant, and even cross a bridge that crosses the ancient colossal gap between two mountains. In addition, lovely to meet a traveleris called the Lady of the green cloak, and his bodyguard, a black knight, acknowledges that neither they nor show his face. Ms. Green says the smock for children who seem terribly tired and should take truce Harfang Castle, the home of the gentle giants. After she and the rider leave the children insist to go against the advice of Harfang Puddleglum, which has a bad feeling about the woman and her motives. It turns out he was right a. The GiantsHarfang are friendly and hospitable, but something about their behavior is repulsive. To their horror, Eustace and Jill find that the "gentle giants" intention to eat as part of their celebration of autumn. Eustace, Jill, and Puddleglum just manage to escape, but they do so by taking refuge in a cave that collapses. After regaining consciousness, lie deep in the dark, in the dark, deep in the Earth's terrible. They are taken prisoner by a race ofUnder-terrestrial beings called grotesque, which are ruled by a tyrannical queen. They also meet a strange masked man who turns out to be the black knight, and learn from him that the queen is none other than the Lady of the green cloak. The knight explains how the Queen is preparing to lead an army of over-the-world, where they intend to defeat the natural leader of all countries declare themselves as gentlemen. The Knight also said that suffers a strangecharm, who leads the crazy night, so he is kept in a silver chair magic for his protection. The knight asks Puddleglum and the two children to watch over him in his madness to ensure that he does not escape and forces them to swear that under no circumstances are they to release him from its restrictions. But when the time comes, the Knight who prays and begs him free. But do they dare to challenge the evil queen and what are the consequences forsetting this free crazy? And, most important of all can never find the prince Rilian and return to their world?

The silver chair features a cast of veteran British actors (most of which will be the American public does not know). The cast includes David Thwaites as Eustace, Camilla Power as Jill, Geoffrey Russell as old King Caspian, Prince Richard Henders as Rilian, Big Mick as Trumpkin, Warwick Davis as Glimfeather, Tom Baker as Puddleglum, like Mrs. Barbara Kellermancloak of green / The queen of the underworld, and Ronald Pickup as the voice of Aslan. As far as the merger goes, most of the actors are clearly familiar with the stage artists and film medium, which leads to some pretty hammy, over the forecast acting. However, in a strange way that suits the reality of history.
Despite its obvious flaws, The Silver Chair is a worthy end to the series.

The DVD also includes a still gallery and a trivia challenge animated. All three DVDcontaining the four films of Narnia find themselves back together in a box moneysaving, which includes beautiful artwork on the packaging. There is also a box set remastered.
