Horror Movies Customer ReviewsI liked the first film, this one was much better. Do not listen to most of these reviews. Most of them are from or failed wannabe movie critic. People who could not do in the real world, so come to Amazon to try to influence the purchasing decisions of the people. This film is worth the money.

Horror Movies Customer ReviewsThis is not a prequel at all - Nathan Christian - Pitcairn, PA USA
Yes, this movie has some emotions and chills ... but nothing that you have not already seen before, and probably better.

My biggest problem is continutity. This film does not use it. It does not match the story presented from the first film. You will also notice that in itself does not match the film. The biggest mistake is when John's new neighbor drops by and John six pack of beer. He told me that six pack. It is said that John does not drink. Drinks can. Later, after afight with his wife, drinking a ton of beer on the porch, cans everywhere! How did you multiply six pack?

When the scarecrow is discovered, it was barely recognizable as a human form. It's just legs. By the end of the film, his feet and looks fat. The family is shattered, and how they tear, you can see it was just a figure. I did not know could scarecrow weight gain, lose, gain, lose ....

Overall, this seems like a script waswritten for a different movie, but was purchased for the franchise Messenger and aims to meet the needs of this line of horror.

My reccomendation? Buy used cheap, or rent it if you have time to lose. It is not worth investing in another way.

In "Messengers 2: The Scarecrow 'Norman Reedus plays a struggling farmer John Rollins. The water pump is broken. Crops are destroyed by crows. Just when things could be worse, there is an old barn and put the scarecrow in the field (when in fact her son did not like the idea). This is when the luck begins to come on. But John soon realizes that everything is too good, especially when people start to die suddenly in an inexplicable way.

The film (written by ToddFarmer, "Jason X" and the 2009 remake of "My Bloody Valentine") begins promisingly with a photo of Nice (filmed in Bulgaria) and very good quality by Norman Reedus (The boondock Saints) as the husband of a tormented wife Mary beautiful (Heather Stephens). Each character is given enough history and background effects in the film in the first half is convincing as a drama.

Somewhere in between, however, the story (which at first reminds us of a film by Stanley Kubrick), starts to get awkwardor even silly. As expected, John Rollins sees things and hears voices - some real, some not - but none of them creates mystery or enhance dramatic tension. The film contains nudity nice graphics (twice) in an attempt to show the psychological aspect of the protagonist (sexuality depressed or something?), Where more subtle touch is needed. The worst thing is the culmination inconsistent and confusing that it seems as if someone stepped in and changed the scenario.

"Messengers 2: The Scarecrow 'isshould be a prequel to the 2007 film "The Messengers," starring Kristen Stewart, who continued to be the star of the "Twilight Saga. No need to see the original if you want to see the" prequel ", as the two stories do not connect directly with each other. Or there will be "third messengers"? I hope not.

"Messengers 2: The Scarecrow 'is not a total disaster and Norman Reedus avid fans should not miss. Yet this need for better and more consistent wrap-up story.

The Messengers 2
The Scarecrow

What do you do when a film is a series refuses to follow its own rules and come to a story already determined? This is the question I asked my car after seeing the second "The Messenger" series, I do not know what they were thinking. Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert's Ghost House Pictures, for the most part been as fun and funny and in fact this is fun. The fact is that it follows the same story as the first film, thoughthis is a prequel.

The first film was about the family moved after the Rollins family, this is about Rollins. John Burwell who was the first film is a struggling farmer who just wants to take care of his family and live a quiet life with them. Things are not going as planned, as luck would have, since it seems not to be harvested in Add in the fact that he is not always a break every where and his wife is still in contact with a former boyfriend. He is alwaysOffers sales and a neighbor seems a nice guy so he has options and help, even if very little. One day she encounters a scarecrow in a small room in his stable, and after putting up things seem to go around.

The crop starts to raise his growing very well and the money starts to come but the banker that he was pushing to sell is dead. Even the man who was shot at his wife who is her ex or whatever turns also missing. Whenever thescarecrow seems to have played a role. That's all well and play well and do well in the horror and makes you think that if the scarecrow is doing this or if John is mad. As you go back and forth between the possibilities of the story seems real fun and entertainment. Things go wrong when the film, while obviously a prequel tries to distance itself from the original.

It 's the exact same family since the first film so obviously we know how to end. In this filmalthough as we can have a happy ending, not only make sense unless the end happens next in some way. Although the story moves along, as if the bogey is all in the head while actually committing the murder, but as you can see what it takes life Some how. That would be good if the first film had some crazy crazy straw packed in as well collecting people out, even that does not explain the fate of this family in the first film. There are other things like how did thescarecrow know the child was alive and evil and what about all the other inexplicable things that do not pay.

Now, while there are other things this movie has some things going for it, such as lead Norman Reedus who plays John Rollins. Sounds good role playing as if he is losing his mind much like the first but far more extreme. Richard Riehle is excellent in this is like the woman who plays his deception and [seductive wife who is in a good sex scene and nude] Scene. The young banker was good in this, but almost everyone else seemed average, not bad.

Writer Todd Farmer, who was a writer first and director Martin Barnewitz are not really to blame for the misadventure that is this film. During the director / writer commentary that is actually one of the best I've heard talk about how the producers of this film Basically said "I know it's a prequel, but we want a happy ending following the writer then, but the firstthat determined what happens to the family. "Producers then replied that" yes, but we know lets make this a stand-alone prequel movie with the family from the first, but still make it a prequel "

Well that all sounds interesting and to be honest could not have worked if the Scarecrow did not come to life. They could have just got mad and John made it a psychological horror film. Even with a happy ending it could be assumed that he never really got over it and fall backinto madness at some point. Would make more sense and made for a better film. So the question is can recommend this film, unfortunately yes. I say this because the average fan, most likely as this and all Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert fans should own this.
